Established in 1983, Laboratoire de Controle & d’Analyse S.A. (LCA) is recognized as a pharmaceutical contract testing laboratory as well as a services and consultancy firm located in the Brussels area.

LCA has developed a strong relationship with leading hospitals, research centers and pharmaceutical companies.

To implement all its services and tasks, LCA has set up a team and a laboratory structure where pharmacists and scientists work under the responsibility and control of heads of departments and of a Quality Assurance Adviser.

LCA is composed of three units: LCA Laboratory, LCA Regulatory Affairs and LCA Consultancy.

LCA laboratory follows the ISO 17025 standard and is GMP compliant. The main activities are pharmaceutical analysis, mainly in the chemical, physicochemical, bacteriological and toxicological fields, including sterility testing & bioburden, as listed below (but not limited to):

• All compendia physic-chemical methods
• Liquid and Gas Chromatography residues isolation and trace analysis
• HPLC
• Microbial & sterility testing

LCA Laboratory is officially accredited:

• by the Department of Pharmacy Inspection of the Ministry of Health, for drug release testing in Belgium and Europe
• by the Ministry of Health, for the control of biocides (hospital and surface disinfectants)
